Are you wanting to rent a holiday house or villa in Spain but would prefer a bit of ''real Spain '' rather than the overcrowded coastal region?
Our recently refurbished village house is situated in the beautiful village of Riogordo in the Axarquia region of Andalucia in southern Spain. This area has until very recently remained largely untouched by the outside world and tourism, and is still totally unspoilt.
The house is available to rent throughout the year with discounts for longer rentals. The house is situated at the top of Riogordo, offering wonderful views over the village to the surrounding mountains, whilst still being within easy walking distance of the shops.
It has four comfortably furnished bedrooms - two with double beds and two with twin single beds - and can sleep up to eight people. All the bedrooms are complete with bedside tables, hanging space, shelving units and fans.
The upstairs bathroom has both a bath and a separate shower, and there is a shower room downstairs. The open plan living area is furnished with comfortable sofas, a dining table & chairs, Sky TV, a music centre and flat screen television with DVD player. For winter lets there is also a wood burning stove.
The stylish fully-fitted kitchen has all mod-cons including a washing machine, microwave, gas hob, oven and two refrigerators. We provide ample crockery, cutlery and glassware, including some items not always found in Spanish homes, like an electric kettle, juicer and toaster.
Outside there is a private pool and patio with a built-in barbeque. Chairs, tables and sun-loungers are provided. The upstairs terrace, with table and chairs, gives a wonderful view over the mountains. Bed linen and towels are changed every week and a welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk etc. is provided on arrival.
The rental charge includes gas, electricity and water, and wood is provided in winter. On-street parking is available outside the house.
Riogordo is only 35 minutes drive inland from Malaga and 25 minutes from the beaches at Torre del Mar and yet a world away from the hustle and bustle on the coast. An excellent road system makes centres like Granada , Marbella and Ronda very accessible, with an abundance of golf courses and other attractions within easy driving distance.
